SK Education Sdn. Bhd. (“the Company”) respects and is committed to the protection of your personal data and your privacy. This Personal Data Protection Notice (“Notice”) explains how we collect and handle your personal data in accordance with the Malaysian Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (“Act”). Please note that we may amend this Notice at any time without prior notice and any such amendment will be notified via our website or by email.
- Personal Data
A. Type of Personal Data
Personal data means any information which relates to you, including your family member details which was collected or provided to the Company for the purposes stated in Paragraph (2) below. Personal data may include your name, address, identity certification (IC) number, telephone number, email address and any other information concerning gender, age, race, nationality, date of birth, relationship, occupation and types of goods/service requested (collectively, “Personal Data”)
B. Source of Personal Data
Generally, the personal data that we collect comes directly from you. For instance, when you contact or register with us (whether online or otherwise) or enter into any other transactions with us.
C. Obligatory Personal Data
All personal data requested from you is obligatory to be provided by you unless stated otherwise. Should you fail to provide the obligatory personal data, we may be unable to process and administer the member registration in our system and may be unable to provide you with the notices relating to our services and products.
- Purposes of Collecting and Processing Personal Data
The personal data you provide will be collected, held on computer and/or in manual files, used, disclosed and otherwise processed by the Company for the following purposes:
A. To facilitate the delivery of services or products and the marketing and promotion of such services or products whether present or future, to you by e-mail, telecommunication means (telephone calls or text messages) or social media;
B. Those purposes specifically provided for in any particular service or product offered by us;
C. Conducting marketing and client profiling activities in connection with any services and related products of the Company,
D. Our internal record keeping, maintenance and updating of any information database(s), customer service related matters and other administrative purposes, including audits, fraud monitoring and prevention;
E. To communicate with you, including responding to your enquiries; meeting or complying with any legal, regulatory or statutory requirements relating to our provision of services and products and to make disclosure under the requirements of any applicable law, legislation, rule, ruling, regulation, direction, court order, by-law, guideline, circular, code (collectively “laws”) applicable to us;
F. Research, benchmarking and statistical analysis; and/or
G. Other reasons that are required or permitted under the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 or other applicable laws.
- Disclosure/Transfer of Personal Data
Personal Data provided to us by you will be kept confidential. However, in certain circumstances, it would be necessary for us to provide or disclose your Personal Data for the purposes stated above to the following categories of persons (whether within or outside Malaysia) and where we do so, we would merely disclose data that is necessary for the purpose of such disclosure:
A. Entities within our group of Company;
B. Anybody or person to whom the Company is compelled or required to do so under any laws or in response to any competent or government, state, provincial, local government, statutory or municipal authority, industry regulators, agency or body;
C. Law enforcement authorities;
D. Such as sub-contractors or third-party service or product providers (an example the auditors, lawyers, company secretaries, service providers, events and training organisers, telecommunications companies, cloud computing or data backup service providers and other advisers).
- Data Security & Safeguards
We shall keep and process your data in a secure manner. We endeavour, where practicable, to implement the appropriate administrative and security safeguards and procedures in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations to prevent the unauthorized or unlawful processing of your Personal Data and the accidental loss or destruction of, or damage to, your Personal Data.
- Right to Access and Correct Personal Data
A. You have the right to access and correct your personal data held by us. We will make every endeavour to ensure your Personal Data is accurate and up to date.
B. If there are changes to your Personal Data, or you would like to obtain further information on how to limit the processing of your Personal Data, or you would like to make a complaint in respect of your Personal Data, you may contact:-

In the event of any conflict between this English language Personal Data Protection Notice and its corresponding Bahasa Malaysia Personal Data Protection Notice, the terms in this English language Notice shall prevail.
